Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of WiFi Buddy (“the app”). By using the app you agree to these terms.

License

WiFi Buddy is licensed to you under Apple’s standard End User License Agreement (EULA) for App Store apps: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

These additional terms apply on top of Apple’s EULA. If there is a conflict between the two, Apple’s EULA governs for your use of the app, and these terms govern the relationship between you and us.

Subscriptions

WiFi Buddy Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold in two plans:

  • Monthly: USD $3.99 / month
  • Yearly: USD $34.99 / year

Each new subscription starts with a 3-day free trial if you are eligible (first-time Pro subscribers only).

Billing terms (required disclosures for auto-renewing subscriptions):

  • Payment will be charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the price of the selected plan.
  • You can manage and cancel your subscription in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on your device. Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.
  • Free-trial auto-renew: If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription automatically renews and your Apple Account is charged the selected plan price.
  • No refunds: All refund requests are handled by Apple. See https://support.apple.com/HT204084.

Prices may change in the future. We will notify you in-app before any price increase takes effect for your existing subscription.

What Pro unlocks

WiFi Buddy Pro unlocks:

  • Unlimited AR Wi-Fi surveys with dead-zone detection and personalized recommendations
  • Unlimited conversations with the Klaus in-app assistant

Free users get full access to the Speed, Signal, and Devices tabs, and one question for Klaus.

Acceptable use

WiFi Buddy is a diagnostic tool for networks you own or have permission to test. You agree to:

  • Only scan and survey Wi-Fi networks you own or have explicit permission to analyze.
  • Not use the app to probe networks, devices, or services you are not authorized to access.
  • Not use the app’s findings to harass, stalk, or invade the privacy of any person.

Disclaimer

The app is provided “as is”. Wi-Fi signal quality, latency, throughput, and device identification are estimates derived from on-device measurements. Real-world Wi-Fi performance depends on many factors outside the app’s observation window. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any number, label, or recommendation shown in the app.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability arising from or related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we will update the “Last updated” date and note the change in a subsequent app update.
